Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth

And in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son our Lord

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit

Born of the virgin Mary

Suffered under Pontius Pilate

He was crucified and dead and buried

And I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am

I did not make it no it is making me

It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man

I believe that He who suffered was crucified buried and dead

He descended into hell and on the third day rose again

He ascended into Heaven where He sits at God's mighty right hand

I believe that He's returning To judge the quick and the dead of the sons of men

And I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am

I did not make it no it is making me

It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man

I believe it

I believe it

I believe it

I believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth

And in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son our Lord

I believe in the Holy Spirit One Holy Church

The communion of Saints

The forgiveness of sin

I believe in the resurrection

I believe in a life that never ends

And I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am

I did not make it no it is making me I did not make it no it is making me

I said I did not make it no it is making me

It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man

I believe it I believe

I believe it I believe it

I believe it I believe it

I have never "courted" but not only have I experienced the worst of the patriocentric movement but have seen first hand what this movement does to relationships, including ones that lead to marriage. I am not so certain the "principles" work for those who teach them either. Lots of divorces are now showing up within this group. We need to stick to ancient truths of one anothering as taught in Scripture and apply it to all realtionships, including the ones that lead to marriage.

Shelby, I would highly recommend the following website and the book by the same name if you are genuinely seeking to hear truth straight from the testimonies of those who have been damaged by patriocentricity. I am certain Hillary and others can answer any questions you might have to help you understand the nature and practice of spiritual abuse. I am praying that you will be protected from this heinous aspect of Chrisianity.

Mrs. Campbell, because of what I know about you, and what I have seen you do to other truly God-fearing Christians, I, in no way, want, or desire, or would ever take any advice that you would give to me. I was simply addressing Meredith's misleading dishonesty, which I do not believe anyone should do, who professes the name of Christ. I am deleting my prior comments, because if Meredith does not desire to address her dishonesty and hateful conduct, then I have performed my part as a Christian, and am now shaking the dust. My heart is so grieved to see people profess the name of my precious Savior, and conduct themselves in this way.

Shelby, your response to me along with your refusal to even consider that you might be wrong in your assumptions about me or others certainly is disappointing. I pray that at some point you will be able to discern truth according to the Word of God alone. I would encourage you to open your Bible and read through the Gospels. Observe how Jesus responds to those around Him. He is kind and tenderhearted and merciful to those who seek truth. But, He reserves is harshest words for those who seek to add to His Gospel message with manmade rules and regulations. He was and is more interested in the heart of those who truly seek after Him. I encourage you to examine your own heart. Do you seek REAL truth or are you following after man? Are you humble enough to consider that you may be wrong in your "convictions" or even about the gossip and slander you have listened to or passed along to others? Are you looking at life through the lens of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ or through the eyes of others who have done all the thinking for you?
